GEMIS (Global Emissions Model for integrated Systems) is a public domain life-cycle and material flow analysis model and database that IINAS provides freely. GEMIS consists of an analysis model to determine energy and material flows (including transports), and a database. The analysis model calculates for processes and scenarios so-called life-cycles, i.e. it takes into account all processes from resource extraction (primary energy, raw materials) to final energy or material use, and also includes auxiliary energy and material uses as well as materials for constructing energy, material and transport systems. The GEMIS database offers information on: (fuel data, processes, materials, transport)GEMIS includes the total life-cycle in its calculation of impacts - i.e. fuel delivery, materials used for construction, waste treatment, and transports/auxiliaries. The GEMIS database covers for each process: (efficiency, air and GHG pollutants, solid wastes, liquid pollutants, land use) GEMIS can also analyze costs - the respective data are implemented for fuels and energy systems. The database contains international industrial life cycle inventory data on energy supply, resource extraction, material supply, chemicals, metals, agriculture, waste management services and transport services. The Climate Registry has launched the GHG Reporting Database, a free online tool that compares federal, regional and state greenhouse gas (GHG) reporting requirements. Funded by U.S. EPA, the database will help organizations navigate the patchwork of GHG regulations, for example the federal Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program (GHGRP), California's Mandatory Reporting Regulation (MRR), and state-by-state Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) requirements.
